The story of Statecity Football Academy began with a simple idea but a very big dream. As someone who has always had a strong passion for football, I believed that football could be much more than just a game. It could be a platform for discovering talent, building discipline, creating opportunities, and helping young people develop into responsible members of society.

While living and interacting with young people in South C, I noticed that many children had natural football talent but did not have enough opportunities, proper guidance, or structured training to develop their abilities. I wanted to create a place where these young players could receive proper coaching while also learning important values such as discipline, teamwork, respect, commitment, and hard work.

In 2021, I decided to turn this vision into reality by founding Statecity Football Academy. The beginning was not easy. We had limited resources, limited equipment, and challenges in finding suitable training facilities. However, I refused to allow these challenges to stop the dream. I started with the resources available to me and focused on developing the players one step at a time.

The academy gradually attracted more young players from South C and surrounding areas. As the number of players increased, so did our ambitions. We began participating in competitive matches and tournaments, giving our players the opportunity to test themselves against other academies and clubs.

For me, the most important part of the journey has always been seeing the transformation of the young players. Some children joined with very little confidence or experience, but through consistent training, encouragement, and discipline, they began improving both on and off the pitch.

My vision for Statecity has always been bigger than winning football matches. I want the academy to become a strong football development institution that provides young people with opportunities to pursue their dreams while becoming disciplined and responsible individuals.

Our identity is represented by the slogan “Home of Champions.” To me, being a champion is not only about lifting a trophy. It is about having the character, discipline, courage, and determination to overcome challenges.

Today, I look back at 2021 with gratitude. What started as one man’s dream in South C has grown into a football family with bigger ambitions. As the founder, I remain committed to building Statecity Football Academy into a respected football institution in Kenya and creating opportunities for the next generation of footballers.
