1. The Beginning — 2004

MELTAH KABIRIA FC is a community-based football team that has been in operation since 2004. Founded on a shared passion for football, the club has grown through the dedication of local players and the support of the community.

From its early days, the team has provided a platform for football enthusiasts to come together, develop their abilities and represent their community. Its journey reflects the values of discipline, unity, teamwork and perseverance that define grassroots football.

Over the years, MELTAH KABIRIA FC has continued to pursue its ambitions while creating opportunities for players to develop and progress through the game.

2. The Formation of MELTAH YOUTH FC — 2011

In 2011, MELTAH YOUTH FC was formed under the leadership of Wilson Muhoto, one of the club’s longest-serving players. The formation of the youth team marked an important step in developing young football talent and building a foundation for the future of MELTAH KABIRIA FC.

During its early years, MELTAH YOUTH FC participated in local tournaments and friendly matches, giving young players opportunities to gain match experience, improve their skills and develop a competitive spirit.

Under Wilson Muhoto’s leadership, the youth team became an important part of the club’s football structure, helping nurture players and prepare them for greater challenges.

3. The Return to Competitive Football — 2020

Following the disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, MELTAH YOUTH FC returned to competitive football and participated in the FKF Nairobi West Sub-County League in 2020.

This marked an important stage in the team’s development as it entered organised league competition. The experience gave the players an opportunity to demonstrate their abilities, build confidence and establish themselves in the local football scene.

The team’s commitment during this period laid the groundwork for the remarkable achievement that followed.

4. The Historic 2021/22 Season — Unbeaten Champions

The 2021/22 season became a defining moment in the history of MELTAH YOUTH FC. The team delivered an outstanding campaign in the FKF Nairobi West Sub-County League, finishing as champions after an unbeaten run.

Across 27 matches, the team recorded:

- 25 wins - 2 draws - 0 losses - 77 points, assuming the standard three points for a win and one for a draw

This remarkable record demonstrated the team’s consistency, resilience, teamwork and determination throughout the season.

Winning the championship without losing a match was a proud achievement for the players, technical bench, leadership and supporters. The success confirmed the potential of the youth programme and marked a major milestone in the wider history of the MELTAH football family.

Following their championship-winning campaign, MELTAH YOUTH FC earned promotion to the Nairobi West County League, taking the team to a higher level of competition.

5. MELTAH YOUTH FC: The Feeder Team

Beyond its own achievements, MELTAH YOUTH FC has played a vital role as the feeder team for the senior side, MELTAH KABIRIA FC.

The youth team provides a pathway through which developing players can progress into the senior squad. This structure allows talented young footballers to gain experience, demonstrate their abilities and prepare for the demands of senior football.

The relationship between the two teams reflects the club’s commitment to long-term development rather than short-term results alone. By nurturing talent from within the community, MELTAH KABIRIA FC continues to build its future using players who understand the club’s identity, values and ambitions.
